Mother Joan Davis Keith
Lady Joan Davis Keith is the beloved daughter of the late Mother Elizabeth Davis and Brother Garfield Davis, whose spiritual guidance and commitment to holiness profoundly shaped her upbringing. Lady Keith received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1965 under the leadership of the late Chief Apostle W. L. Bonner and her spiritual mother and mentor, the late Mother Ethel Mae Bonner, at the Greater Refuge Temple Church, New York City.
Lady Keith was educated in the New York City Public Schools. She continued her studies in Louisville, Kentucky, where she attended Jefferson Community College and the University of Louisville. Lady Keith’s dedication to theological education was recognized with an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. She is also an esteemed alumni of the W.L. Bonner Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina, solidifying her extensive biblical and theological foundation.
Lady Joan Keith is the devoted wife of Apostle Raymond J. Keith Jr., and they have served together in ministry for 49 years. They have three sons, three daughters-in-love, nine grandchildren and one granddaughter-in-love, and two great-grandchildren within this union. They also cherish the memory of their beloved daughter, who rests in the Lord awaiting His return. Their family is a testament to their faith, with all their children fervently serving the Lord and ministering in their talents. Lady Keith served as the State mother to the Kentucky-Indiana Diocese from 1997-2020. Lady Keith organized “Women United In Prayer” for the Diocese to help bring unity among the women.
Lady Keith is currently one of the three International Women’s Council advisors. She has served the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., in numerous capacities including Recording Secretary and Vice President of Home Missions for the International Women’s Council and Vice President of the International Missionary Department. During this time, she chaired the committee that chartered the “Women’s Mentoring Manual.”
Despite her many accomplishments and recognitions, Lady Keith remains humble, attributing all her successes to God's grace. Her favorite hymns, "High Places" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," encapsulate her testimony and spiritual journey. Her greatest desire is to be a vessel fit for the Master's use, leading by precept and example, and inspiring others through her unwavering faith and dedication to the service of Jesus Christ.
